Detroiters Donate Ambulance
to Israel Emergency Service

A fully equipped ambu-
lance with two-way radio
communication, oxygen re-
suscitator and other essen-
tial first-aid supplies was
donated to Magen David
Adorn, Israel's emergency
health service, by Mr. and
Mrs. Albert (Libbie) Posen,
on the occasion of their gol-
den wedding anniversary.
The Pikuach Nefesh
Award was presented to the
Posens at a recent dedica-
tion ceremony by Philip
Slomovitz, an officer of the
Michigan Region, Ameri-
can Red Magen David for Is-
rael, !!in grateful recogni-
tion of their splendid con-
. tribution and for helping
Magen David Adom to alle-
viate pain, suffering, save
precious lives and bring
hope for a brighter, heal-
thier future to Israel's ail-
ing, injured, aged and new-
born."
Posen has been an active
board member of the Adat
Shalom. Synagogue since its
inception. He also served as
treasurer of the synagogue
and participated in numer-
ous congregational pro-
grams
He --is a founding
member of the Hillel Day
School and played an im-
portant role in its growth.
He remains deeply in-
terested in promoting
Jewish education and
sUppokts numerous
youth programs.

Mezeritcher Club

The Mezeritcher Social
Club installed James Land-
sman as president at its
40th anniversary installa-
tion at the Wheels Inn,
Chatham, Ont.
