The Association for the Jewish Retarded had an important share in Joseph Tanzman's recent 80th birthday. The association, of which Tanzman was the first president, was named the recipient of a special fund established by his relatives and friends. The fund was announced at a celebration held in Tanzman's honor for 69 friends and family mem- bers. Dinner Here Morris Abram, nationally prominent Jewish leader, chairman of the board of the Cardozo Law School of Yeshiva University, will be the guest speaker at the Yeshiva University dinner, June 13, at Cong. Shaarey Zedek. Announcing the guest speaker, Mandell Berman, dinner chairman, said that Abram's acceptance of the invitation to speak here is an additional tribute to the dinner honorees, Irwin and Sadie Cohn, whose com- munarroles embrace scores of causes that have been their special concern. "The Cohns' interest in advanced Jewish education gives this event, the honorees and the guest speaker special em- phasis," he added. Abram was a major in the U.S. Air Force and served on the prosecut- ing staff at the Nurem- berg war crimes trials.
