A separate school — Mid- rasha, Jerusalem Semi- nary, was established to train rabbis serving in the Israel Defense Forces and communities abroad as well as rabbinic posts in cities and agricultural settle- ments. Under the name Ariel a network of branch schools was established in Haifa, Tel Aviv and eventu- ally in other Israeli centers.
