Workmen's Circle District to Hold Biennial Parley
Workmen's Circle of
Michigan will hold its bi-
ennial district conference
Saturday and Sunday at the
Workmen's Circle Center,
26341 Coolidge, Oak Park.
The conference will begin
7:30 p.m. Saturday with
membership activities and
reports. Sunday's activities
will include a luncheon, re-
ports, election of officers
and at 3 p.m., the Second
Annual Rose Kleinman
Memorial Program, at
which Dr. Jeffry Mallow
will speak on "Yiddish Lit-
erature From Bubbe-
Mayses to Bashevis."
Educated in Workmen's
Circle schools, Dr. Mallow
earned a bachelor's degree
in Jewish literature from
the Jewish Teachers' Semi-
nary and a PhD degree in
astrophysics from North-
western University. He is
assistant professor of
physics at Loyola Univer-
sity.
