Union College-Jewish In-
stitute of Religion, was
awarded an honorary docto-
rate in philosophy from the
University of Cologne in
West Germany in a pre-
sentation at the Jewish
seminary made by Richard
Wagner, consul general of
West Germany in Detroit.

Academy for Jewish Re-
search and holds other hon-
orary degrees. He is the
author of numerous scien-
tific works, a contributor to
various encyclopedias in the
U.S. and in Israel and a reg-

man.
