Iran Jewish Man's Execution
Is Condemned by Israelis

JERUSALEM (JTA) —
Israelis expressed shock
and outrage over the execu-
tion of Iranian Jewish
community leader Habib.
Elkanian by firing squad in
Teheran Wednesday for
"spreading corruption"and
"treason through his con-
nections with Israel and
Zionism."
The 61-year-old indus-

nent Jew in Iran to be exe-
