from Hillel Day School have
been visiting the agency
once a week as part of a spe-
cial oral history program.
The students not only re-
ceive credit for the program
as an elective subject, but
they will have a basis to
continue volunteering in
the future, Mrs. Fleischman
said.
The students come one
morning a week and, in
groups of two, meet with
residents for conversation
related to their pasts.
The
visits
are
supplemented by pro-
grams at the residence
and at Hillel conducted
by Betsy Newman, the
Home for Aged director
of vo:unteer services, and
Cheryl Riskin, director of
activities.
The facility offers a
variety of-opportunities for
volunteering. One is the-
Friendly Visitor program,
which gives members of the
community an opportunity
to develop close contact with
one resident.
Other popular programs
are the Nosh Nook snack
bar, games, resocialization
and special activity pro-

Center, gift shop and day
