He owned a supermarket on Joseph Campau in Ham- es.amck for 30 years and re- tired in 1963. He was a member of Cong. Bnai Moshe and was a trustee for the Radomer Aid Society. He resided at 14120 Balfour, Oak Park. Raskin, a psychiatrist and adviser on alcohol and drug abuse, died April 5 at age 59. A native Detroiter, Dr. Raskin practiced psychiatry in the Detroit area for 25 _ years and since 1973 was a clinical professor at Wayne State University's medical school. In 1971, Dr. Raskin was appointed to the National Advisory Council on Alco- hol Abuse and Alcoholism by the Department of Health, Education and Wel- fare. From 1964 to 1972 he was a consultant on drug and a-l-cohol abuse to the Japanese government and was a drug abuse consultant to Mexico from 1972 to 1973. Dr. Raskin addressed addressed the first White House conference on Narcotics and Drug Abuse in 1962. He re- ceived a distinguished - Kalman Bruss, 59 Kalman Bruss, branch manager of American In- ternational Pictures for the past two years, died April 6 at age 59. Born in Chicago, Mr. Bruss was in the movie business for the past 45 years. He was a member of Cong. Beth Abraham Hillel Moses, a charter member of Henry Morgenthau Lodge of Bnai Brith, the Anti- Defamation League of Bnai Brith and the Variety Club of Detroit. Joseph Faigel Joseph Faigel, one of only 24 active dog show judges qualified to judge all 124 breeds recognized by the American Kennel Club, died April 6 at age 79. Born in Russia, Mr. Faigel was the - past president of the Oakland County Kennel Club, of which he was a member since 1935. He also was a member of the Detroit Ken- nel Club. Mr. Faigel retired 11 years ago from his wholesale butter-and-egg business. He began breed- ing Boston Terriers in 1916. Three years later he began showing his champion dogs nationally. All had the pre- fix "magnificent." He came to Detroit in 1920 and continued as a breeder until 15 years ago. He started his judg- ing career in 1932. Mr. Faigel resided at 30548 Southfield, South- field. He leaves his wife, Er- vina; two daughters, Mrs. Daniel (Harriet) Kay of Ak- ron, Ohio, and Mrs. Richard (Joan) Freeman; , two brothers, Dr. Hyman and Thomas of Andover, Mass.; five grandchildren and one great-grandson.
