A report submitted to the Zionist Organization of America, sponsor of Kfar Silver, the agricultural vil lage in Israel, and the Mol- lie Goodman High School, by Leon Ilutovich, stated that 1978-1979 has seen the largest enrollment in Kfar Silver's history. A total of 517 students (257 boys and 260 girls) attend classes in the various schools on the campus. Included in this student body are 107 pupils from foreign countries: 42, have come from Latin America, and, recently, they were joined by 51 from Iran. To- gether with the 14 U.S. teenagers in the Mollie Goodman Academic High School, they give the cam- pus an international flavor. For the Latin American and Iranian students who arrived under the auspices of Youth Aliya, courses were introduced based on special curricula and con- ducted by teachers and counselors who speak Per- sian and Spanish. The Kfar Silver campus is steadily moving towards its goal of 1,000 students by 1982. While the majority of the students are Israeli born, their parents have come from 37 countries. The only y ardstick to determine the origin of the students is by the roots of their parents. And, so, the 517 boys and girls presently enrolled comprise 286 whose parents are of Ashkenazi origin and 231 whose parents are Sephardim. In the latter category, the largest group is from Morocco (82 stu- dents). Six schools make up the Kfar Silver complex: Ag- riculture, Sylvia and Ale- xander Hassan Technical, Nursing, Mollie Goodman Academic, Aviation (10th Grade) and Junior High (first year). Apart from the diver- sified vocational training programs, the academic studies on the `campus are divided into the following five departments: Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Judaic studies and Foreign Languages. dent at the University of Missouri Medical Center.
