TEL AVIV (JTA) — Is-
raeli naval units captured
an arms-laden freighter and
took into custody six Pales-
tinian terrorists and its
five-man crew, a military
spokesman disclosed.
The spokesman said the
500-ton Cypriot-registered
vessel Stefanie was seized
at sea several days ago
while apparently transport-
ing the terrorists on a
sabotage mission to Israel.
According to Israeli
sources, the ship is owned
by El Fatah, the terrorist
arm of the Palestine Libera-

WASHINGTON — Op-
pression and liberation, the

Passover, will take on added
meaning this year in Col-
umbus, Ohio; when some
300 members of the city's
deaf community join mem-
bers of the Bnai Brith Hillel
Foundation and the Cam-
pus.Ministry Association of
Ohio State University in a
model Seder.
Almost everywhere, the
discussions will include the
new peace treaty *betwen
Egypt and Israel, the plight
of the Jews- in the Soviet
Union and the liberation of
women from home and
feminine job roles.
But the concern for the
deaf as an oppressed people
is apparently new. Aaron J.
Leventhal, director of the
Hillel Foundation at OSU,
said the deaf — at least in
Columbus — believe they
are oppressed because their
disability has kept them out
of the mainstream of life.
Using sign -language,
they will participate in the
Passover services which
will be broadcast live over a
cable television system that
enables viewers to take an
active part. The Seder will
be held Monday.

Norway Studies

Norwegian Foreign Minis-
ter Knut Frydenlund has
announced that his country
is "seriously studying" Is-
rael's request for Norway to
sell it oil and will give a
reply next month.
Frydenlund, who is
attending the Scandinavian
Foreign Ministers' meeting
in Copenhagen, said Nor-
way's decision will be given
to Vice President Walter
Mondale who is due to visit
Oslo later this month.
Several influential public
opinion sectors, including
the Norwegian Labor Party
and the daily "Ar-
bederbladet," have called on
the government to conclude
an agreement with Israel
and not give in to Arab
threats.
