when I went out?" . . . "You
sure did!" was another fel-
low's answer, somewhat ex-
pecting an apology . . . "This
is my row then," mumbled
the fat man as he squeezed

MAIL DEPT.... "Just a
little note so you can let
your readers know of our
experience trying to have
dinner at Duglass.
"We made a reservation
six weeks ago for six people
Saturday night at 9 p.m. We
were told there were two
seatings— 6 p.m. and 9 p.m.
Upon our arrival at 8:45
p.m. we were told we could
be seated at 9:15 p.m. '-
that they were a little be-
hind.
"While we were waiting,
another party of six came in
and they were seated im-
mediately as there was a
doctor in the party.
"We waited until 9:45
p.m. at which time we told
the hostess we could not
wait any longer. She then
got the maitre d' who told us
we would be seated shortly.
The table that was suppo.sed
to be made available for us
was still occupied. The
people were supposed to
have been-there since 6 p.m.
The restaurant has a very
poor waiting area — no
room to move around or
have a drink while you are
waiting.
"Don't you think four

hours is a little long for
dinner and also don't you
think a restaurant that is
charging their kind of prices
should honor their reserva-
tions within a few minutes,
and don't you think that
myself, my husband and our
friends are as good as any
doctor that walked in after
us? After all, we would not
have been there if we could
not have afforded it."

NANCY GURWIN now
has two productions going
for her . "I Do! I Do!" at
Paradiso on Woodward .. .
and "The Owl and The Pus-
sycat" opening this Sunday
at Botsford Inn on Grand
River.
DAVE PERLIN IS now
behind the counter at Sut--
ton Deli on Lahser and Nine
Mile.
BOTH RESTAURANT-
sites operated by Johnny
Bench, Cincinnati Reds
baseball star catcher .. .
Northgate-and Florence,
Ky., were closed . . . and will
become Prime 'n Wine
dinner houses . . . Both are
in the Cincinnati area.
Whether this is any indi-
cation that Detroit. Tiger
designated hitter Rusty
Staub should stick to
baseball and not the restau-
rant business could mean
that having the the name
today doesn't necessarily
