Peace Walk Set
by Bnai Brith
Youth Groups
The Bnai Brith Youth
Organization will hold a
Peace Walk for Israel in con-
junction with Israel Expo
'79 and in celebration of the
31st anniversary of the
founding of the state of Is-
rael 9 a.m. April 29 at the 10
Mile Jewish Community
Center.
The walkers will follow a
10-mile route through the
Oak Park area, winding up
back at the 10 Mile Center.
Transportation will then be
available to the West
Bloomfield Jewish Center
for those marching to par-
ticipate in the balance of the
Expo activities for that day.
Proceeds will benefit
Project Renewal, the United,
Jewish Appeal's drive to aid
Israel's disadvantaged.
The community is in-
vited. Volunteers are
needed to . help man
check-points, sponsors
are needed for the wal-
kers and donations are
being sought for re-
freshments. For informa-

Veterans to Hold
a Blood`Drive
The Department of
Michigan, Jewish War Vet-
erans, will hold a blood
drive 4-10 p.m. Thursday at
the JWV Memorial Home.
Persons over age 17 are
sought as donors. Ely Katz
is chairman.

lel Institute's Teens for
Torah program were hon-
ored March 6 for suc-
cessfully completing the
Talmud
tractate
"Pesachim" dealing with
the laws of the Passover
Seder.
The students, Kenny
Bernard, David. Gottfried,
David Kelman, Steven Levy
and Steven Lupovich, deliv-
ered a presentation of
halakhic and • talmudic
material which they
learned during their
studies.
The young men were
awarded Jewish books,
presented by Morris Flatt
and Oak Park Judge
Benjamin Friedman.
