Slated for Allied Campaign

Israeli sociologist Ep-
hraim Yaar will speak on
April 1 at Cong. Bnai David
at the first of two Allied
Jewish Campaign report
-meetings. The meeting,
which will be preceded by
continental breakfast at
9:45 a.m. will allow Cam-
paign division leaders to
share the results to date of
their workers' efforts.
Dr. Yaar, a member of the
sociology faculty at Tel Aviv
University, is an expert on
Israel's "social gap." He has
recently written about the
problems involved in reh-
ousing the underprivileged,
a subject closely related to
Project Renewal, the social
reconstruction plan for Is-
rael's distressed neighbor-
hoods.
Dr. Yaar is a consultant
to the Israel ministries of
Housing, Absorption and
Education and serves on
various ad hoc government
committees.
The second report meet-
ing is scheduled for April 15
at the Jewish Community
Center's Studio Theater.
