MDA Is Helping Christian Areas

TEL AVIV — Magen
David Adorn (MDA), Is-
rael's emergency, medical
service, is literally the
lifeline for thousands of be-
seiged Christian villagers
in southern Lebanon.
Totally without doctors or
medical aid for months,
these Lebanese Christians
are"- completely dependent
upon the MDA emergency
medical station at the "Good
Fence" on the Israel-
Lebanon border and on the
MDA ambulance fleet

which delivers a constant
flow of life saving medicines
and supplies.
Anis Abour, spokesman
for the Israeli Maronite
Christian Committee for
Relief in Lebanon, reported
that in the past two years,
hundreds of thousands of
dollars worth of medical
supplies and equipment
contributed around the
world, have been funneled
through the committee and
transported into Lebanon in
almost 50 relief missions by
MDA, the latest being a
shipment of medicines do-
nated by Italian Christians.
Medical supplies and
equipment for MDA are
sent from the U.S. by
ARMDI (American Red
Magen David for Israel).
