PET PEEVES . . . Wait-
resses with untidy uniforms
. . . Restaurants that list
items .on the menu but
never have them . . . People
in eateries who take cash
and handle food . . . Wait-
resses who rush over to take
your order and then take
their sweet time bringing it
to you . . . Customers who
wait until the waitress
comes before looking at the
menu.
SURE, POINT AFTER
Deli in Racquetime Bldg. on
12 Mile, east of Northwest-
ern, has bath deli and
Chinese food . but it
doesn't stop there . . . Re-
cently, dinner specials were

a continental-type deli .

WHAT MORE CAN BE
said than that the wonder-
ful songstress Ella
Fitzgerald will do eight con-
certs at Music Hall
downtown, March 13-18?
FELLOW AND HIS
WIFE went to a local eat-
ery, had dinner and asked
for the check. . . The wait-
ress said she had put it on
the table . . . He argued_
loudly and the girl just
shrugged her shoulders and
gave him another one.. .
The couple left so mad they
refilsed to leave a tip .. .
Coming out of the Fisher
Theater, he reached to take
out his parking ticket and
there was the original
dinner check . . . To the
gent: the place you and your
wife -ate at charges their
waitresses with all unpaid
checks ... So besides losing
out on a tip, the poor girl lost
out on two dinner amounts,
unless you go back like a
man and admit your mis-
take.
COULD TIM trumor be
true that another attempt
will be made to form a
delicatessen - restaurant
association? . . . Sure would
be great if so . . . Why
shouldn't all the owners
help each other . . . and
maybe have a hand in hold-
ing the prices on items they
sell . . . There can be no los-
ers with an association .. .
only winners.
WHEN WAS THE last
time you saw someone fill
an empty water glass?
BAGELS, LOX AND
CREAM cheese has become
a continental favorite . . . it
was among all the gourmet
goodies at Oscar's on
Northwestern recently,
celebrating the opening of
Birmingham Theater's new
season— . Hostesses in-
cluded - Diane Schoenith,
Susan Sosnick, Phyllis
Marra and Janet Jaffe.
GYPSY FANTASY is
