on U.S. Jewish Experience
The education depart-
ment of Metropolitan De-
troit Chapter of Hadassah
will hold classes on four
Wednesdays March 7-28 at
the Zionist Cultural Center.
Classes will begin at 10 a.m.
The course entitled, "The
American Jewish Experi-
ence," will be taught by
ANDY BLAU
Pioneer Women and their
husbands. Guests are wel-
come. There is no charge,
and refreshments will be
served.

BETTE ROTH
Bette A. Roth and will
encompass phases of Jewish
life such as the Sephardic
and German Era, the Jew in
the Civil War, the East
European Era, the Lower
East Side, the Zionist
movement, World War II
and the state of Israel.
Ms. Roth is a graduate
of Oakland University
and the University of
Michigan. She is now a
PhD degree candidate in
American culture, major-
ing in American Jewish
culture. She has taught at
U-M and at Wayne State
University and has lec-
tured extensively on
American Jewish his-
tory.

Jewish Hospital
Meeting to Plan
for May Dinner
A luncheon meeting of
supporters of the National
Jewish Hospital-National
Asthma Center in Denver,
Colo., will take place noon
March 2 at the Pontchart-
rain Hotel.
The meeting will prepare
members of NJH-NAC's
dinner corminittee for their
role in generating support
for the medical center's 80th
anniversary dinner to be
held May 8 at the Detroit
Plaza Hotel.
Chairing the luncheon
meeting are dinner. co-
chairmen Alan Schwartz
and John Riccardo. Speak-
ers will be Dr. Bruce Dubin,
a former staff doctor at the
medical center, and Mr. and
Mrs. Gerald Kalinov,iski,
whose son is a patient at the
facility.
