be honored at a dinner Sun-
day on the occasion of their
50th wedding anniversary.
The dinner will be given by
their children, Dr. and Mrs.
David Abels of Santa Bar-
bara and Dr. and Mrs. Jerry
Abramson of Bloomfield
Hills.
Louis Segel, Eadie Albion
and Harold Jaffa are the
co-chairmen of the 13th an-
nual Bnai Brith Presidents
Brunch, which will be held
March 11 at Shaarey Zedek,
with the cooperation of the
Jewish National Fund.
The brunch will honor
Ralph Miller, president of
the Metropolitan Bnai
Brith Men's Council, and
Belle Ruben, president of
the Women's Council, by
the planting of a garden of
100 trees for each. The
presidents of the 24 lodges
and 26 chapters and units
will each be honored by the
planting of 18 trees in the
Bnai Brith Martyrs' Forest,
overlooking Jerusalem.
The sixth Metropolitan
Detroit Bnai Brith Forest
will be launched at the
brunch. This is a record, for
Detroit Bnai Brith is the
first to establish a sixth for-
est. Detroit area Bnai Brith
members, numbering over
10,000 have planted about
100,000 trees.
