The Great Lakes AZA
Council Basketball League
meets 12:45 p.m. Sundays
at the 10 Mile branch of the
Jewish Community Center.
Eleven chapters are par-
ticipating in the league, di-
vided into two divisions.
After two weeks, Akiba
AZA and Goode AZA are
tied for the lead in Division
1 while Herzl AZA,
Windsor, leads Division 2.
Basketball coordinator is

viser recognition evening
focuses on those individuals
who volunteer their time to
serve as advisers, friends
and leaders to the 40 chap-
ters of .AZA and BBG in the
Michigan Region. This
event is sponsored by the
Bnai Brith Men's and
Women's Councils of Met-
ropolitan Detroit.
Mrs. Marks is a past
president of Pioneer
Women, the Women's Di-
vision of the Jewish Fed-
eration of Youngstown
and of Anshe Emeth Sis-
terhood.
She also was chairman of
the Women's Division of Is-
rael Bonds and of the Lib-
erty Township United Ap-
peal Drive. Mrs. Marks is a
life member of Bnai Brith
Women, in addition to life
