The European and California ultra- contemporary look by Ul- tima has reached out to such an extent that plus its 2,00a square feet at Town Center, a second location with 3,000 square feet is scheduled to open elsewhere in April. Ultima architects and builders have created a wall system to hold a fish tank, an executive desk with TV receiver on top, a bed five feet in the air and 14 feet long . . . for a baby that hadn't been born yet. JOE FORBES writes from Lansing .. . "All three of my daughters are promising to add grandchildren to our happy family in the next few months! Right now Rena and I have one grandchild, 21/2-year-old Jamie Golding (the• most beautiful, intelli- gent and wonderful baby in the recorded history of the world). Her mother, Rita (Mrs. Howard Golding), is expecting about Sept. 1. My middle daughter, Esty (Mrs. Michael Lohnberg), is ex- pecting about three-four days earlier. "There's one minor prob- lem for the proud maternal grandparents: Rita lives in Southfield and Esty lives in San Francisco. We have considered the possibility of renting a satellite so we can be in both places at the same time, but ruled that out. In- stead, Grandma Rena will head for California (at Ri- ta's insistence) while Grandpa Joe stays with Rita. "Our youngest daughter is timing things much bet- ter. Nikki (Mrs. Mark Segall) is expecting in late May; with no competition from her sisters for atten- tion, both Rena and I will be on hand for that joyous event. "Our joy will be a little short-lived, though. Nikki and Mark are ready to leave the area for a year while Mark, a surgeon at Beaumont Hospital takes a fellow- ship in surgery at a Min- nesota hospital. "It's all getting a little confusing, but Rena and I are thrilled at the prospect of quadrupling our 'assets' as grandparents in a matter of a few weeks. And the only current 'asset,' Princess Jamie, is very excited about being senior member of the `cousins association.'
