Re-Named Goldfinger Center

Perry
and
Max
Goldfinger, long-time
members of Cong. Beth
Achim have made a dona-
tion - to the synagogue in
memory of their parents. In
recognition of this endow-
ment, the United Hebrew
Schools branch at Beth
Achim will be named The
Samuel and Blanche
Goldfinger Educational
Center."
The Goldfinger brothers
came to Detroit as young
children with their parents
from Leavenworth, Kan.
The brothers established
Maxwell-Perry Haber-
dasher's on Hamilton near
Grand Blvd., which they op-
erated for 30 yeras. They
also owned and operated
Thomas & Forsyght Men's
Shop in the United Artists
Building.
After retiring from the
men's wear business, Max
and Perry pursued second
careers in real estate. Max
became affiliated with H.M.
Seldon Co., recently retir-
ing as vice president of the
firm. Perry is affiliated with
Reaume & Dodds and is pre-
sently semi-active with the
firm.
