Gambling does not worry either Wilner or Rabbi Stephen Weisberg of Re- form Cong. Ner Tamid but they are worried _about the city's "limited exposure" to Jewish culture. The growth of Nevada University at Las Vegas during the past decade from 800 students to the present 9,000 has proba- bly done culturally, at least to some degree, what the "strip" has done economically for Las Vegas. One result has been, the News reported, that more Jewish youth remain in Las Vegas fof their college education and the campus Hillel membership has in- creased substantially. The focal point for or- ganized Jewish life in Las Vegas is Temple Beth Sholom and its adjoining Jewish community center.
