The public is invited at a nominal charge. ,* * * Probus to Take Nominees for 17th Annual Awards The Probus Club of De- troit, a service club com- posed of Jewish business and professional men, is of- fering annual Probus Club awards for academic achievement at Wayne State University for the 17th consecutive year. Two awards will be given, each consisting of a $1,000 grant without restrictions. One will be for a faculty member in the natural sci- ence (and related profes- sions) and another for a representative of the humanities (including so- cial sciences and allied fields). Final selection will be made by a committee of seven judges, four from the Probus Club and three from the Detroit community. Criteria for the selec- tion of winners will in- clude their academic and professional background and exceptional scholas- tic and research work. Each college, school • and/or department of the university will have an opportunity to submit its nominee to the office of A.T. Bharucha-Reid, dean and associate provost for graduate studies, 364 Mac- kenzie Hall. Deadline for nominations is Feb. 9.
