Spiegel Heads Hillel Unit, Weinstein Elected Treasurer

WASHINGTON — Al-
bert A. Spiegel, a Los
Angeles attorney, has been
elected chairman of the Na-
tional Bnai Brith Hillel
Commission.
The - commission makes
policy and supervises the
cultural, religious and so-
cial programs for Jewish
students and faculty at
Hillel Foundations at more
than 350 colleges and uni-
versities worldwide.
Spiegel, a member of the
commission's executive
board since 1969, is a
member of the National
Campaign Cabinet of the
United Jewish Appeal, past
president of the Jewish
Federation Council of
Greater Los Angeles and
former chairman of the
United Jewish Welfare
Fund of Los Angeles.
Spiegel succeeds Dr.

Seymour Martin Lipset,
professor of political sci-
ence and sociology at the
Hoover Institute of Stan-
ford. University. Lipset
was elected chairman of
the Hillel Commission
Executive Committee.
The commission also re-
