Reconstructionist Meetings Are Set NEW YORK — The Re- constructionist Rabbini- cal Association will hold its fourth annual meeting in Philadelphia, Sunday through Wednesday. Ses- sions on Reconstructionist approaches to conversion and divorce will featured. The rabbinic conference is preceeded by the mid- year board meeting of the Reconstructionist Federa- tion of Congregations and Havtu of being held today through Sunday in White Plains, N.Y. PARIS (JTA) — Two French Jews have been decorated with the Legion of Honor. Both of them were awarded France's most co- veted public award for their work on behalf of Jewish organizations. The two are Salomon Friederich, direc- tor of the Alliance France- Israel, and Gerard Israel, secretary of the Alliance Is- raelite Universelle. Former French Premier Jacques Chaban-Delmas personally called on Friederich who is hos- pitalized to present him with 'the insignia of the or- der. Friederich has long been active in promoting Franco-Israeli friendship. He also serves as the secre- tary general of the Union of Jews from Eastern Europe. Groves Grad an All-American INDIANAPOLIS — Bob Levine, a graduate of Bir- mingham Groves High School, has been named to the Jewish Post and Opin- ion's Jewish All-American football team. Levine is a 6-foot-1, 215- pound linebacker at San Diego State University. He is majoring in biology.
