Rosenberg, co-chaired by Mrs. Ben Meckler, has cho- sen Mitchell Stern, vio- linist, and Neal Stulberg, pianist, as soloists for this annual event. Stern was graduated from the Curtis Institute' in Philadelphia, where he studied with Arnold Steinhardt and Ivan Gala- mian. For the 1979-1980 season Stern was chosen to be one of three violinists to be sponsored by the Leven- tritt Foundation. Stulberg, native De- troiter, began his piano studies in 1960 with Mis- cha Kottler. He is a stu- dent of William Masselos at the Juilliard School of Music and is assistant conductor of the Nor- walk Symphony Or- chestra in Connecticut. Stulberg holds a bachelor's degree in sociol- ogy. from Harvard Univer- sity and a master's degree in music from the University of Michigan. Krana Grossman to Receive To Council of Jewish Women Award Krana Grossman, past president of the Greater De- troit Section of the Nationa Council of Jewish Women, will be awarded the Hanna G. Solomon Award of the women's organization as it celebrates its 85th anniver- sary during Council Week, Jan. 15-19. The award will be pre- sented at a special affair 12:45 p.m. Jan. 15 at Tem- ple Beth El. Volunteers will be cited, and refreshments will be served. Past President Ruth Klein will present the award to Mrs. Grossman. The Harbinger Dance Com- pany will entertain.
