Labor Leader Is Honored in Advance of Bond Tribute

dinner to be held Jan. 21 at

Flint to Conduct
Israel Mission
The Flint Jewish Com-
munity Council, under the
chairmanship of Malcolm
Isaacs, will sponsor a two-
week mission to Israel
March, 4-18.
Members of the mission
will celebrate Purim at the
Western Wall in Jerusalem.
They will meet Israeli
families, government offi-
cials and experts. ToUrs will
be provided by United
Jewish Appeal-trained
guides and spt c al resource
persons.
The group will travel
economy_- jet transporta-
tion by a scheduled El Al
747 from New York. Ac-
commodations will be at
deluxe five-star hotels
Dan, Tel Aviv, Dan Car-
mel, Haifa, King David
and Jerusalem.
There will be breakfast
every day, lunches on nine
days and dinners 10 days.
Tips and taxes are included
in the price, based on double

occupancy.

for JNF Women's Donor
Ezra, a leading Israeli
entertainer, will be the
guest star at the 49th an-
nual donor event of the
Women of the Jewish Na-
tional Fund and the Young
Women of JNF Jan. 9 at
Cong. Shaarey Zedek.
A graduate of the Inbal
School for Dancing, Ezra
first appeared with Haohel,
Inbal, Do-Re-Me, Ohel
Shem and at major hotels in
Israel. He has appeared in
several Israeli movies, in-
cluding "I Like Mike" and
"Hakibutz." Ezra sings in
Hebrew, Yiddish, French,
Spanish, Turkish, Greek
and Arabic and he has star-
red in concerts at Town Hall
and Carnegie Hall and
entertained in night clubs.
He sings, dances and plays
the drums.
Rabbi William Ber-
kowitz, president of the
Jewish National Fund of
America, will be the guest
speaker.
The donor affair will be
the culmination of the 1979
fund-raising campaign,
which is raising funds to
improve the quality of life at
