Only one of them at the end is willing to face the responsibility as father of the unborn child. ' "Little Man" was inde- pendently produced by Erez Ltd. headed by Baruch Ella with Zeev Revah directing from a screen play he wrote in collaboration with Hillel Mittelpunkt. He heads The Genesis Project, the cinematic transcription of the whole Bible as a means of bringing people back to their religious and cultural roots. Heyman's partner in the ambitious project, which will take years if not de- cades to complete, is Israeli film and stage star Chaim Topol who also portrays numerous parts in the var- ious segments. We were asked to watch the cassettes in Heyman's suite at the Beverly Hills Hotel and marveled at the quality of production and the dig- nified portrayal of biblical characters. All New Media Bible films are produced on 35 mm color stock with sound and reduced to 16 mm and Super 8 mm film and %-inch video cassettes having a running time of approx- imately 15-20 minutes. They are available to sub- scribing churches, synagogues, religious and educational institutions. Some of them will be corn- bined and released theatri- cally by Warner Bros. and Columbia Pictures. Some 30 films have been completed to date. Produc- tion takes place on locations in Israel and in the studios of Tel Aviv and Herzliya. Some 70 percent of the crew and staff are Israeli, aug- mented by specialized tech- nicians from Great Britain. In addition to the motion pictures, The Genesis Proj- ect also produces introduc- tory sequences to each seg- ment with scholars and religious leaders talking to the audience and stills illus- trating the research dis- cussions.
