146 Public TV Stations Air Nazi Program NEW YORK (JTA) — WNET of New York, the Public Broadcasting Serv- ice (PBS) affiliate whose audience includes the largest Jewish community in the world, became last week the 146th PBS station to carry "California Reich," a 58-minute documentary on the psychology and lifes- tyles of some working class members of the National Socialist White People's Party in four California communities. A spokesperson for the national PBS office in Washington told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that 67 of the 270 PBS stations car- ried the documentary on its scheduled announced date of Oct. 22 at 8 p.m.; that 78 stations telecast it on a de- layed schedule after that date during October and November, and that 124 stations have not shown it. But the spokesperson said some of the 124 stations might still carry the documentary. A spokesman for WTVS (Ch. 56) in Detroit said in October thoit the station would not broadcast "California Reich." Mrs. Klarsfeld Hits 'Revisionists NEW YORK (JTA) — Beate Klarsfeld, the Paris- based Nazi hunter, warned last week that young people could become attracted to Hitler and Nazism unless a strong effort is made to re- fute the attempts by neo- Nazi and other "re- visionists" to deny the facts of the Nazi extermination of six million Jews and others during World War_II. At a press conference at the headquarters of the Anti-Defamation League of Bnai Brith where she was surrounded by pictures of the Nazi persecution of Jews, Mrs. Klarsfeld said these revisionists are claim- ing that Hitler was not aware of the extermination of the Jews, that the gas chambers did not exist and that it is an exaggeration to say that six million Jews were murdered in the Holocaust. Klarsfeld, a Mrs. German-born non-Jew, said that is why she and her hus- band, Serge Klarsfeld, a lawyer and a Jew who is a survivor of the Holocaust, have published at their own expense, a new book, "The Holocaust and the Neo-Nazi Mythomania," to refute these claims. Holtzman Cited NEW YORK — The New York Board of Rabbis pre- sented their Maccabean Award to Rep. Elizabeth Holtzman last week "in recognition of her distin- guished service to the Jewish community and to the nation."
