"Marty Robbins was a
happy hubby last week,
when he brought home a
new record player to thrill
wife Betty on her birthday
. . . and then went up into
the attic to get a huge stack
of recordings he had hidden
away . . . It wasn't long be-
fore Betty thought the
entire city was shooting
firecrackers to celebrate her
birthday . . . until she dis-
covered that it was only
Marty . . . He had stum-
bled on the stairs and drop-
ped the entire collection of
discs in a loud clatter _ .
When Betty finally man-
aged to grope her way
through the massive rubble
to see what had happened,
there was Marty sitting on
the bottom step holding the
only record that had stayed
in one piece . . . 'Oh well,'
he muttered, holding up the
unbroken platter, 'this is
the only one I wanted you to
hear anyway!' "

Zuckerman, who will be
honored at the 50th an-
niversary dinner of the
Jewish National Fund in
Detroit; June 13, at Shaarey
Zedek . . . Six days later on
June 19, the Paul and Helen
Zuckerman Auditorium
and Conference Center at
Sinai Hospital will be dedi-
cated."
MARCH 22, 1968 . . .
"One day recently, Larry
Crantz noticed an old car
parked near his on a park-
ing lot . . . It probably ran
on love and coaxing, says
Larry, but it sported two
brand-new snow tires . . .
On one tire was written in
white chalk, "To Ruth with
love, Bill,' . . . and on the
other was written, 'Happy
Birthday, Bill. Love,
Ruth.' "
Aid for Infants
JERUSALEM — Magen
David Adorn has equipped a
special ambulance to trans-
fer premature infants from
other hospitals to the
Hadassah Medical Center.
The ambulance is staffed
by a Hadassah pediatrician,
an MDA paramedic and a
driver.

Has Events
for the Family
The Jewish Community
Center will hold a family
Hanuka celebration 1 p.m.
Sunday in the West Bloom-
field complex.
A candlelighting cere-
mony will be led by a youth
portraying Judas Mac-
cabeus at 1 p.m., followed by
Israeli dancing and singing,
a parent-toddler Hanuka
party and a pre-school
Hanuka celebration. Craft
activities include Hanuka
candlemaking, menora de-
corating and dreidel mak-
ing.
Maccabia — Israeli
Olympic — games will be
held and participants are
requested to bring gym
clothes and bathing suits.
There will be organized
games, an apple bob and
more.
The Centel' also an-
nounced the formation of
a cross-country ski pro-
gram, consisting of two
three-hour sessions. Two
hours of instruction and
equipment are included.
The program will begin
Jan. 14. Registration dead-
line is Jan. 7. For schedule

Center's physical education

Biblical Exhibit
HAIFA — An exhibition
of "Music in the Bible" pre-
pared by the Haifa Music
Museum will be conducted
during May and June 1979
at the Haifa Museum com-
plex.
