as guest speaker, a repre-
sentative audience sub-
scribed to Israel Bond pur-
chases in amounts of $1,000
minimum per attendee.

Sam Rich outlined the

amounted to $11,500,000
and urged that outstanding
payments amounting to
$3,500,000 be secured by
Dec. 10.
David Holtzman gave the
invocation and there was a
musical program by Rabbi
Shlomo Carlebach.
Scores of community
events, sparked by a
brunch Sunday at Tem-
ple Beth El, continue the
observance of the spe-
cially designated day.

at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, and

The Federation Employ-
ment and Guidance Service
in New York has begun a
cooperative program with
Consolidated Edison Co. to
train 40 handicapped per-
sons.
The individuals are
learning to dismantle and
salvage parts from retired
transformers which the
utility had previously sold
as scrap.
