Israel's intelligence and
former minister of transpo-
ration.
The Celebration Ban-
quet, chaired by Phillip
Stollman, will launch Israel
Bonds' "Six Days for Peace,"
culminating on Dec. 10
when Israel Prime Minister
Menahem Begin and Egyp-
tian President Anwar Sadat
will receive Nobel Prizes in
Oslo, Norway. Geared to a
celebration of the peace ef-
forts and a show of solidar-
ity with Israel's people as
they face the economic chal-
lenge of peace, banquet par-
ticipants will have paid a
minimum of $1,000 on old or
new 1978 Israel Bond com-
mitments, prior to the day of
the event, as a prerequisite
for admission.

More than 100 cities in
the United States and
Canada will hold similar
programs. In Detroit, the
following organizations,
synagogues and temples
will be participating in the
banquet:

named him minister of
transportation and com-

Amit held until a short time
ago when he resigned to
form a new party called
Shai, (Change).

Dr. Hershel Sandberg,
chairman of the Greater
Metropolitan Detroit Medi-
cal Physicians Division for
Israel Bonds, will host a
breakfast in the boardroom
of the Israel Bond office,

Attendilig will be Dr.
Sandberg's colleagues who
have volunteered as a Cash
Committee and who will be
reaching members of the
'Medical Physicians Di-
vision during this effort,
geared toward obtaining
maximum cash purchases
from the medical commu-
nity.

tan Detroit Women's Di-
vision of State of Israel
Bonds have set today as
Cash Mobilization Day, and
division leaders will be re-
minding Israel Bond sub-
scribers of their unpaid
commitments as well as
gaining new purchasers of
Bonds.
The effort is part of the
community-wide "Six Days
for Peace" campaign.
Heading the Cash Day ac-
tivities, which include vol-
unteer phone ,..quads and
cash pick-ups, is Mrs. Peter
(Tillie) Martin, cash chair-
man.

NEW YORK — Fifty-one
students from Yeshiva Uni-
versity are currently study-
ing in the university's
Gruss Institute in
Jerusalem which opened in•
the fall of 1977.
