Inmate to Get
Kosher Food

NEW YORK — For the
first time, a New York State
prison has accepted respon-
sibility to provide kosher
food for an inmate, thanks
to legal help provided by the
American Jewish Congress.
Federal Judge Whitman
Knapp ordered a stipulation
under which an Orthodox
Jewish inmate of Greenha-
ven Prison will now receive
kosher TV dinners and in-
