recent Cong. Beth Shalom Leadership Reception,
held in advance of the congregation's annual dinner=
on behalf of State of Israel Bonds. The dinner will be
held Dec. 10 at the synagogue and will celebrate Is-
rael's 30th anniversary "Year of Peace." More than
$60,000 in Israel Bond subscriptions were realized at
the reception. Shown at the Phillips' home are, from

man, synagogue president; Rabbi David Nelson; Hy
guest speaker and two-time winner of Israel's
"David's Harp" award "for excellency in film produc-

Israeli planners projectfive
new cities in the Negev
after Israel returns the
Sinai to Egypt.
The cities would include
three along the border, an-
other opposite Rafiah and a
fifth in the central Arava.
The plan also calls for de-
velopment in the towns of
Yeruham, Mitzpe and Ra-
mon, and industrialization
of the Eilat region.
