NCJW Angel Ball Slated Nov. 25

annual Angel.Ball 8:30 p.m.

Philip Slomovitz, editor
and publisher of The Jewish
News, will be the guest
speaker at the 49th annual
donor campaign kickoff by
the Women of Jewish Na-
tional Fund, it was an-
nounced by Reba Bloom,
president. The meeting will
be held noon Tuesday at
Temple Emanu-El.
Slomovitz was a founder
of the JNF Council of De-
troit 60 years ago and
served as its first president
for eight years.

Golda Resting
Comfortably

JERUSALEM — Former
Israeli Prime. Minister
Golda Meir continues to re-
cover from a fever and a
cold, and is resting comfort-
ably in Hadassah-Hospital
according to a hospital
spokesman.
Mrs,. Meir has had recur-
ring infections and back
problems in recent weeks,
and a Canadian news
agency last Friday reported
that she had died.
An hour after that report
was transmitted the news
agency apologized. ,
