Hotels come and go. For many reasons. But Saxony guests keep coming
back. They come back for the beautiful accommodations and sporting
facilities. They come back for the superior service and superb dining.
But mostly they come back because "only the best will do."

Anti-Israel Move
Defeated for Now

UNITED NATIONS
(JTA) — The General As-
sembly's Political Commit-
tee (the First Committee)
rejected Wednesday an
Iraqi motion that requested
the committee to vote on an
Iraqi motion calling on the
Security Council to impose
an arms embargo on Israel.
By a vote of 59-28 with 30
abstentions the committee
decided to put off the vote on
the anti-Israeli draft until
next month, together with
other resolutions to be voted
by the committee.
Israeli diplomats at the
United Nations_ described
the committee's vote as an
"achievement" for Israel. It
was the first time in many
years that the Arabs could
not master a majority in a
procedural vote. Many Afri-
can countries along with the
U.S. Western Europe and
South American countries
opposed the Iraqi motion
after strong "lobbying" by
Israel.Israel claimed that
the Iraqi motion was aimed
at torpedoing the current
peace negotiations.
However, it is, expected
that when the draft resolu-
tion on imposing an em-
bargo on Israel comes before
the committee next month,
it_will be adopted by a large
margin.

nearly five times the size of
Belgium.
