(Sadie) Gottlieb of South
field will celebrate their
golden wedding anniver-
sary Saturday, and will
commemorate the occasion
with a trip to Israel given to
them by their children.
Married in Detroit in
1928 by Rabbi Joseph
Eisenman, the couple has
been active in Jewish com-
munal affairs. Aside from
his plate glass industry,
Gottlieb was active in Bnai
Brith, serving as president
of Louis Marshall Lodge
from 1958 to 1959. He is a
recipient of Bnai Brith's
Award of Merit. He was
cited for bringing in the
most new members in the
organization and was cited

Bonds and was awarded a
citation for his work for the
organization. He also par-
ticipates in the cash collec-

Bnai Brith Jewish National
Fund chairman and its
representative to the
Greater Detroit JNF Coun-
cil.
The former Saide
Hayman, Mrs. Gottlieb
has been active in efforts
on behalf of Soviet Jews.
With her husband, she

the couple were affiliated
with its predecessor con-
gregation, Ahavas
Achim. They also are
