Rep. Elizabeth Holtzman
(D-N.Y.) will be the guest
speaker at a public forum 8
p.m. Sunday at Temple
Emanu-El.
Rep. Holtzman will dis-
cuss topics of interest to the
Jewish community.
Elected to her first term
in 1973, Rep. Holtzman has
been an outspoken oppo-
n.t of sex discrimination,
Arab boycott and of
Nazis living in the U.S.
Since 1974, Rep.
Holtzman has been a
leader in a movement to
deport Nazis living in the
U.S. who gained admis-
sion by lying about their
wartime activities, and in
1975 she introduced a bill
to authorize the deporta-
tion of Nazi war crimi-
nals.
Among the Congressional
posts she has held are
member of the Judiciary
Committee and its immi-
gration, criminal justice
and crime subcommittees;
member House Budget
