The High Holiday season

for recipes using honey,
thereby symbolizing our de-
sire that we and have a
"sweet new year." This is a
recipe using honey that is a
little different.
8 tart green apples (approx-
imately 2 lbs.) peeled, cored
and sliced
1/2 cup_clover honey
2 tbsps. fresh lemon juice
12 whole cloves
1 /8 tsp. ground ginger
' 1 /8 tsp. ground 'cinnamon
wheat germ topping
6 crepes
Combine apples, honey,
lemon juice and spices in a
saucepan. Cook over low heat
until apples are soft, but not
mushy. Divide mixture be-
tween six crepes. Fold crepes
over filling and place seam
side down in a buttered baking
dish. Sprinkle topping evenly
over crepes. Bake at 350 de-
grees for 30 minutes or until
topping is lightly browned.
Serve hot. Makes six servings.
WHEAT GERM TOPPING
