A Jewish library will open in Goodman House with thousands of books on contemporary themes in a wide range of languages. The exhibit hall is open- ing with a special showing of Israeli literature in He- brew, and in English trans- lations, covering Israel's 30 years of statehood, slated tentatively to be ready sometime in December. Another unique feature will be a display dedicated to the East European shtetl, focussing on Goodman's home town of Gritzev in Russia as characteristic of that type of now vanished lifestyle.
