Nizer, Kaminska

Attorney Louis Nizer will
be the opening night
speaker at the 27th annual
Jewish Book Fair at the
Jelkish Community Center
of Metropolitan Detroit.
Nizer will speak at .8 p.m.
Nov. 11.
His latest book, "Reflec-
tions Without Mirrors
(Doubleday), is a memoir of
many of the fascinating
ventures and associations
in his life. Much more than
an autobiography, Nizer's
book is also a record of his
philosophies and how they
have affected his experi-
ences both inside and out-
side the courtroom.
Nizer, rather than trac-
ing the occurrences of his
life, reflects on his years as a
trial lawyer; punctuating
his memory with peppery
. anecdotes. He volunteers
his ideas on everything
from capital punishment
and modern medicine to ty-
coons and the state of man
- in 2053.
Nizer, born in London,
England, is currently
practicing law in New
York and Washington,
D.C. He also serves as
legal adviser to the Mo-
tion Picture Association
of America and lectures
on a variety of legal mat-
ters around the country.
He has written eight
books and numerous
magazine articles. He is
also an artist and has ex-
hibited his works at the
Hammer Gallery (New
York), and the Boston
Museum.
