Employment Up

JERUSALEM (ZINS) —
Real wages-in Israel fell by
3.5 percent during the first
quarter of 1978, due to in-
flationary pressures. The
average Israeli earns $82
per week.
Meanwhile, unemploy-
ment in Israel fell sharply
during the first quarter of
1978, from 51,000 to 40,000.

Fund, employing Jews,
Arabs and foreign volun-
teers, has planted 135 mil-
lion trees on the land which
it has had to purchase at
exorbitant prices over the
last 7-8 years.
"What
have
Mr.
Richardson and his ilk done
in these 78 years except
plant the seeds of hatred
and land mines?

tional Fund, only
tombstones and human sor-
row remain to witness the
Work of the maligners of

TEL AVIV (ZINS) — A
recent Haaretz editorial
compliments Defense
Minister Ezer Weizman for
implementing his promise
of making the military gov-
ernment of the adminis-
tered territories pay more
and courteous attention to
the Arab town councils of
'the area.

Lord Fisher of Cam-
den, Chairman of the
Board of Deputies of
British Jews: An urgent
review is needed of the pre-
sent situation. It is an open
secret that many of the kil-
lers are provided with
passports and given asylum
by certain Arab embassies.
It is also strongly sus-
pected that the bombs and
guns used to destroy
British, Israeli and Arab
lives are brought here in
diplomatic bags not subject
to police security. This must
end. So must the continued
existence of a PLO office in
London.
