Beth Shalom Women Create Tapestry of Twelve Tribes The 12 tribes of Israel are depicted in this need- lepoint tapestry created by members of the Cong. Beth Shalom Sisterhood. The tapestry is comprised of 12 canvases obtained by spiritual leader Rabbi David Nelson during a recent trip to Israel. Rose Gordon , coordinated the project, and Selma Raskin was ad- viser. Participants included Marilyn Ash, Hilda Bloom, Alice Bodzin, Ada Efros, Bernice Gill, Betty Goldstein, Ms. Gordon, Marilyn Herbach, Loretta Littky, Adell Ozrovitz, Miriam Stein and Phyllis Zussman. The tapestry hangs adjacent to the synagogue sanctuary.
