NCCJ Will Cite Ford Exec
at Nov. 29 Cob o Hall Dinner
Philip Caldwell, vice
chairman of Ford Motor - Co.,
will receive the 1978 Na-
tional Human Relations
Award of the Greater De-
troit Round Table, National
Conference of Christians
and Jews, on Nov. 29 at
Cobo Hall.
The award will be made
at the Golden Anniversary
Brotherhood Dinner which
will celebrate NCCJ's 50-
year history of combatting
religious and racial bigotry
and championing human
rights.
Alfred A. May, president
of the NCCJ Round Table,
said Caldwell will be cited
for his service and example-
as an industrial executive
"in strengthening the vital
role of industry in support of
civic causes which benefit
everyone and help to de- .
velop the American sense of
community among citizens
of different faiths and
races."
Active in many com-
munity endeavors,
Caldwell is a vice
president and director of
the United Foundation
and a member of its
executive committee and
of the capital fund di-
vision committee. He is a
director of the Detroit
Symphony Orchestra, a
member of the Merrill-
Palmer Institute, a direc-
tor of the European Insti-
tute of Business Adminis-
tration, and a director of
the Harvard University
Associates of the
Graduate School of Busi-
ness Administration.

the name of a new extension
service to be offered this
year by the Midrasha-
College of Jewish Studies.
The Midrasha is offering
the services of a teacher to
come and conduct a study
group of seven or more in a
place chosen by the group to
focus on Hebrew language
or literature, Yiddish, Bi-
ble, post-biblical literature,
Jewish history or Jewish
philosophy. There is a
charge.
