women's division of the
United Jewish Appeal, will
be the guest speaker Wed-
nesday, at the Jewish Wel-
fare Federation Women's
Division College of Com-
munication Skills.
The day-long speakers
bureau training session is
set to begin at 9:30 a.m. at
the main Jewish Commu-
nity Center.
Ms. BroWn, of South
Bend, Ind. is the youngest
woman ever to hold the
women's division top lead-
ership position. She has
been a member of the UJA
Women's Division national
board since 1970 and has
served as regional vice
chariman and vice chair-
man - special projects.
A member of the
Jewish Agency Assembly
since 1971 and a member
of the board of the Joint
Distribution Committee,

makes presentations to
religious school students,
"Communiteas" for women
not affiliated with the di-
vision and other Campaign
fund-raising and educa-
tional activities.
Rosenfeld,
Dulcie
president of the division,
and Pola Friedman, speak-
ers bureau chairman, have
announced that for the first
time the bureau will include
men who are serving on
Federation's Outreach
Committee.
Wednesday's activity is
the first full training ses-
sion for Allied Jewish Cam-
paign Women's Division
briefers. The program will
focus on overseas and local
needs for the coming year.
Plans for the speakers
bureau session include
the presentation of a slide
show on Federation and
its member agencies,
luncheon, work sessions
and an assist in learning
speakers' techniques
from Dr. Dorothy Dreyer,
assistant professor of
speech at Wayne State
University.
Melba Winer is coordinat-
ing the program. She is
being assisted by Diane
Shekter, Women's Division
vice president; Bobbie Blitz,
Susan Citrin, Judy Frankel,
Linda Gershenson, Carolyn
Greenberg, Sharon Hart,
Jan Hauser, Nancy Jacob-
son, Renee Mahler, Donna
Slatkin and Leah Snider
