The Best of Everything

(Continued from Page 48)
change keys as many as five
or six times, and never miss
a note.
A good-natured sort,
Milne chuckles about the
lady who scurried over to a
piano to watch him play a
ragtime tune and then
loudly declared, "That's a
player-piano, isn't it?!"
Seeley, a disciple of
boogie woogie great_
Meade Lux Lewis, has a
classical music back-

in good standing as a
master of the keyboard
... Having grown up in
the Detroit area, he

business degree from
Wayne State University.

Fats - Waller, James Scott,
Dan Lambert, Scott Joplin,
Pete Johnson, Albert Am-

Spann and Eubie Blake,
whom he met at a party for

the 95-year-old composer
some years ago.
His performances include
the works of these promi-
nent composers, too.
Seeley's prowess at the
88s comes into focus when
he swings into a stride or
boogie number and his
hands are a veritable blur.
IT WAS IN Berlin during
World War II when Sammy
Ginsberg went into a Nazi
saloon and asked for a
whiskey and soda ....
"You've got a lot of nerve
coming in here, Ginsberg!"
said the bartender. "Get out
quick — before something
happens to you!" . . . Reluc-
