The Best of Everything

OPENING NIGHT was
mainly a black tie shindig
for the Women's Committee
of the American Lung Asso-
ciation . . . as Birmingham
Theater presented Tony
Martin and Cyd Charisse
with "Les Girls, Les Girls."
Those who never were to
Las Vegas had a big treat in
store as the show girls with
their beautiful bodies and
costumes put on a fast-
moving extravaganza.
Before and after was an-
other show in itself, as the
latest women's and men's
fashions paraded about the
lobby in glittering form.
Dorothy Seifei in town
from Miami Beach,
where she has been living
the past eight years . . .
Diane Schoenith looking
ravishingly wonderful
. . . she's such a sweet
person . . . Doug Shubot
with a diamond bee pin
on his bow tie . . . Sally
Tobias and Chuck Ger-
shenson .a handsome
couple . . . New pant
look on girls . . new
hairdos . .. Sammy and
Ida Lieberman . . .
"Something big is break-
ing soon," says Sammy
with the big cigar.
Phyllis Marra with those
slender "in look" pants . . .
"Take your old ones and
make them thinner" says
Phyllis . . . People mulling
around Shirley Eder to get
in on the live newscast . . .
A fellow not knowing it was
on TV, talking bleepingly
. . . Luckily Shirley's mic-
rophone_ didn't pick it up
. . . Jane and Martin
Keilman a couple of real
nice people.
Disco Bonnie & Co. lead-
ing folks in an after buffet
dinner dancing on stage of
the Birmingham Theater
. . . "I feel like Cyd
Charisse," said one gal as
she glided behind the

nated the time and talents
of herself and co-workers
. . . to American Lung
Association's opening.
"Les Girls, Les Girls"
winds up its engagement
tomorrow evening at Bir-
mingham Theater.
FLUSHING, MICHI-
GAN is 'about seven miles
outside of Flint . . . and
when passing through, say
hello to owner Steve Ster-
giou and head gal Mary C,ol-
lins . . . at the Country
Squire Restaurant on W.
Pearson . . . Hear tell that
it's a good place to eat . .
and also have a banquet.
TED AND ED MAZUR
have had Mclnnerney's on
Northwestern for 12 years
already . . . still serving
the same casual family din-
ing at moderate prices.
When they took over the
spot just north of 12 Mile,
the only other restaurant in
the area was the Vineyards
. . . quite a difference from
today . .
Every night Ted and Ed
have a different all-you-
can-eat special . . . which
includes the soup and salad
bar.
One time Bud Lezell (Mr.
Belvedere) came in for chic-
ken and said, "You still
have good chicken here"

Sinatra gave owner Pat
Archer an okay to use his
name after being there for

He told_Liza Minelli to go
to Excalibur while at Pine
