Zealots Block
Jerusalem Traffic

JERUSALEM (JTA) —
Hundreds of ultra-Orthodox
Jews from the Mea Shearim
quarter blocked busy inter-
sections and stoned cars and
other vehicles Saturday on
roads that are normally
open to traffic on the Sab-
bath.
Last Saturday, hundreds
of zealots converged on the
convention hall parking lot
to stone buses and their
passengers preparing to
leave for a peace demon-
stration in Tel Aviv.
