Formation of a Greater
Detroit group to support the
Israel AKIM projects for the
retarded was advocated this
week by the manager of the
AKIM hostel tasks.
Lena Levy, manager of
the hostels, who directed
the establishment of the
first two hostels, in Tel Aviv
and Haifa, on a visit here
consulted with a number of
Detroiters and expressed
the hope that enrollees in
the- movement will help in
the creation of an AKIM
supporting group.
Mrs. Levy visited here
with her son and' daughter-
in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Roddy
Levy, 28081 Everett, South-
field, and will be here again
for the Holy Days during
which time she hopes to
form the projected group.
She can be reached in care
of her children and asks in-
terested Detroiters to con-
tact her by calling 569-
