Students Support
Business Law

Several buSiness law stu-
dents at Wayne State Uni-
versity are seeking public
support for Michigan House
Bill H-5795, the "Simple
Language Act."
The bill, sponsored by
State Rep. Jackie Vaughn,
is aimed at eliminating am-
biguous wording in con-
tracts.
The students were par-
ticularly concerned about
the public's lack of under-
standing of the average
daily balance method used
to compute finance charges
on credit card accounts.
