former American who is

farm. A native of Los
Angeles, and a graduate in
psychology at the Univer-
sity of the City of Los
Angeles, she first visited Is-
rael 15 years ago and spent
the years of 1968 to 1972 at
Kibutz Gevim, marrying
Shimon Illan, a kibutz
member.
She and her husband
were among the first 18
families to settle in Pitchat
Rafiah.
The National Honorary
